First Aid at Work Requalification

This First Aid at Work requalification course syllabus covers the same topics as those in the initial First Aid at Work course, delivered in chingford  the training and assessment face-to-face contact is only 2 days(12hrs). This course complies with the Health and Safety(First Aid) regulations 1981.

This  course  cover  two  Units

Unit  1  Emergency  First  Aid  at  Work

Unit  2  Recognistion  and  Management  of  Illness  and  Injury  in  the  workplace

Notes  for  Employer

The FAW requalification course lasts two days and covers the same content as the initial FAW course if the first-aider does not retain or requalify before the expiry date on their current certificate they are no longer considered competent to act as a first-aider in the workplace. they can requalify at any time after the expiry date by undertaking the two-day requalification course, it may be best practice to complete the three-day FAW course, especially where a considerable period - i.e. in excess of one month -  has elapsed since the FAW certificate expired.  It is for the employer to decide the most appropriate training course to requalify the first-aider  

Since October 2013 the HSE no longer regulate first aid training providers, it has been passed onto the employer to ensure that the training provider that they appoint is following the guidance by the HSE "Selecting a First Aid Provider"

This Course is open to those over the age of 14yrs, however only those over 16 years of age can act as a first aider in the workplace.  

Assessment

The Trainer Assessor will assess the learners through-out the day, there is also a multiple Choice Question paper. Results may not be provided on the day but will be communicated to the company within 24hrs.

Whats included

Professional, but fun Trainer  Meets HSE Requirements

12hrs of guided learning (2 days). **

All Learners will receive a First Aid Manual for this course.

Certification

CPR-Training will issue the successful learner an FAIB certified certificate which is valid for 3yrs.  To be successful, learners must complete and pass a practical assessment as well as a multiple choice questions paper.

What's not included

Refreshments,  breaks and Lunch breaks, unless specified in joining instructions.

HSE recommend that First Aiders in the workplace refresh their knowledge on an annual basis. book your FAW course with us and we will provide the refresher course for free (3hrs Refresher course) a reminder email will be sent, but it will be the employers responsibility to book the training.
