This part of the course is module 10a part 1, focusing on First Response Theory. Completion of this First Aid Training course is required before attending module 10b, which is offered face to face at a later date. To get started with the First Response courses, click on this link https://hampshire-scouts.thinkific.com/courses/firstresponseenrol for free, create your account, and finish the theory portion. After that, submit your completion certificate to your county, and they will provide you with the next training dates. Your District Commissioner will also have details on upcoming courses available for Scout/Guide Young Leaders.

It includes a recap of previously learned subjects such as managing an unconscious breathing casualty, an unconscious non-breathing casualty, and a choking casualty, as well as the use of an adrenaline auto-injector. You many not need to complete the full first response module 10a & 10b if you already have a workplace first aid certificate - all you need to complete is the free conversion course and show both certificates for validation to your training advisor.
